Now Recruiting for Our 2024-2025 P20 Council Student Representatives!

As we endeavor to improve educational and workforce attainment outcomes in our four-county region, we recognize the importance of including students in the conversation. We are now recruiting our third cohort of Student Representatives (previously called Student Ambassadors) to be part of the Land of Sky P20 Council!

A total of fifteen (15) leadership positions will be available for the 2024/2025 school year from each of the following sectors:

• High school (11th and 12th graders)
• Community college
• University

These opportunities will be ideal for students interested in fields of study including but not limited to government, public service, education, business, psychology, and child development.

Student Representative responsibilities:

• Commit to this opportunity from September 16th, 2024 – April 15, 2025
• Attend and participate in P20 meetings and events (see the interest form below for specific dates)
• Participate in digital marketing discussing their academic/career journey and experiences in Western NC
• Estimated time commitment: 30 (total) hours over the course of the school year

P20 will provide:

• Mentorship and leadership development through public speaking and meeting preparation
• Relationship opportunities with educational and employment leaders in our communities
• Letters of Recommendation
• $1,000 to each Student Representative for successful completion of the year-long program
